Do you feel the need for speed? Then HostSlim has a deal for you!
They’ve got a special offer for us featuring a dedicated server OR a VPS, either with a 10Gbps port!
A 1Gbps port maxes out at 125MB/sec – and of course, that’s in a perfect laboratory environment and you’ll never see that in the real world, but you’ll get kind of close to that. The theoretical maximum on a 10Gbps port is 1.25GB/sec (gigabyte, not gigabit – 1,250MB/sec). Again, you won’t see that actual maximum but it’ll be close.
Now, not everyone will need this. But if you’re serving a lot of media (or just a ton of people), you can max out 125MB/sec. A 4K video is about 12MB/sec so it doesn’t take many of those before your 1Gbps port is strained.
Don’t expect dirt cheap prices – no $10/year VPS for a 10Gbps port. Maybe in 2034. In the meantime, these prices are as cheap as you’re going to find!
